I have a few co-op games bought with friends to play with friends and they are all stuck in limbo as we never seem to finish them as a group and that irritates me beyond belief. Friends not available to play, Friends being distracted by the latest new release that they must play now, Friends bored with said game when they were the one who convinced you to buy the game when you initially had reservations and they made it sound like God himself was going to hand deliver it to you. If I had a child and I heard him/her ranting like a lunatic over a game, I would smash the PC into bits and ban it from the house till he/she moved out.Ĭo-op for me, works fine on paper but put it into practice and it almost always falls over. Having some 16 yr old curse and swear at someone twice his age, showing no respect or any signs of intelligence is not my idea of fun.
And when you look at the multiplayer demographic thats filled with entitled kiddies who need a good hiding not the latest frag fest then its no wonder the youth of today are being deliverd to hell in a handbasket. Also I don't chase after achievements that drive most of these useless mutliplayer games anyway. Multiplayer games are all but ruined with cheaters and hackers and development companies not giving a figs leaf as they already have your monies. I'll settle on the single player experience over the multiplayer or co-op any day.
